Deep Ecology
When starting to study more about ecology I discovered that I was wrong about ecologists. Not all ecologists prove to have the respect for nature as I was expecting.
Wiki: "Ecology (from Greek: οἶκος, "house"; -λογία, "study of") is the scientific analysis and study of interactions among organisms and their environment. It is an interdisciplinary field that includes biology and Earth science. Ecology includes the study of interactions organisms have with each other, other organisms, and with abiotic components of their environment."
It is not enough. In many ecologists awareness is missing. Arne Naess was talking about that awareness, and introduced the term "deep ecology". This is indeed watching and sensing deeper than ecology itself. Not everybody has that awareness, the most ecologists do not have it. That should change. Nature is in such a bad condition that ecologists should have created an alarm. Because of the missing awareness they do not do that. They are silent.
Who was Arne Naess? What is deep ecology?
You can find information about Arne Næss on my LinkedIn page about Hallingskarvet, the national park in Norway, and in the special "Arne Næss" channel and "Arne Næss" google+ page
